The Louisiana Racing Commission holds regular public meetings throughout the year to discuss matters related to horse racing in our state.

These meetings are open to the public, and anyone may attend to stay informed or share comments about Commission business and proposed rule changes.

Upcoming Meeting

The Louisiana State Racing Commission shall hold a public hearing at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Louisiana Equine Sales & Event Center, 372 Harry Guilbeau Road, Opelousas, Louisiana. Please note that this meeting will be in-person only. There will NOT be a Zoom or call-in component.

In compliance with R.S. 49:964(B), the Racing Commission will receive public comment from any interested person regarding the Rules of Racing at this meeting. Note that this will be an in-person attendance only. There will NOT be a Zoom or call-in component.
